Charity Austrian Evening

Austrian Charity Evening organized by Rotary Club Sofia International on Friday, May 28, 2010 in the 2010 at the Military Club on Blvd. Tsar Osvoboditel in Sofia.

The event will include the performance of the Austrian folk music ensemble “Irrsdorfer Tanzlmusi” from Salzburg and gather the Rotarian and Austrian communities and their friends in Sofia.

The funds generated will be used to support the project PASTRA, a home for 80 mentally disturbed persons in Pastra near Rila in Southern Bulgaria and the SOS Kinderdorf in Dren.

The home in Pastra was recently some what improved by the Austrian Concordia Foundation with an investment of € 90.000 but is still in a terrible state. A further € 30.000 must be found to bring it to a basic standard e.g. showers must be fitted, the sleeping area should be renovated and floors and doors should be replaced.

SOS Kinderdorf will use the funds for the renovation of a home hosting 6 children.
